A WEIGHTED REMORSE, due out on September 13, 2024, through Imperial/Republic Records, is the fifth self-penned album in Smith's discography since the pandemic in 2020. This newest body of work by Smith expands on the rock sounds and guitar prowess he’s been cultivating over the years, bringing his Americana blues roots into the realm of edgy shoe-gaze rock. His deeply personal storytelling style, once described by the Austin Chronicle as "a dark and brooding platter that sounds like Nick Cave raised on Texas songwriters," remains at the forefront of his music.
